Announcing RIC1: Our New Primary Data Center in Richmond, Virginia

We’re excited to announce that NodeSpace is expanding with a brand-new data center located in Richmond, Virginia, known as RIC1. This state-of-the-art facility brings with it enhanced power and network redundancies that allow us to offer our customers an unprecedented 100% SLA for uptime in RIC1. This upgrade reflects our ongoing commitment to providing reliable, secure, and high-performing hosting environments.

A New Chapter for NodeSpace

While we’re still in the final stages of the build-out, RIC1 is nearing completion and will be ready to host new services soon. This expansion has been in the works since early this summer, but Hurricane Helene’s recent impact—causing over 48 hours of downtime—highlighted just how essential this project is. Fortunately, we were already deep into the build-out process, and the launch of RIC1 will safeguard our customers from future disruptions.

RIC1 is designed to be our most robust facility yet. With cutting-edge infrastructure and multiple layers of redundancy for both power and networking, this data center will serve as the backbone of our operations, ensuring seamless service even in the face of challenges. What’s Next?

We’re getting closer to completion and excited to share that we’ll be rolling out new services in RIC1 soon. As part of this transition, RIC1 will become our primary data center over the next year, while our LNR1 facility will remain active as a secondary site. This shift allows us to balance workloads, provide better disaster recovery options, and ultimately give our customers peace of mind knowing that their data and services are protected at all times.
